Rebekah always had a keen fascination with the human body and grew to appreciate how amazing, complex and unique every person was. After completing her Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science at Monash University in 2010 she decided that she was more interested in looking at the body holistically instead of working at a micro cellular level. She then completed a double degree in Health science and Applied science Chinese Medicine at RMIT in 2015 where she graduated with distinction.

Since graduating she has had the opportunity to travel the world through Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She undertook clinical internships in Chinese Medicine hospitals in Nanjing, China and Taichung, Taiwan. She also worked on a cruise ship for 7 months treating passengers while sailing around the northern hemisphere.

Before relocating to the UK, she worked in various different clinical settings in Melbourne, Australia. She also spent time volunteering with the Sacred Heart Mission Hands on Health Clinic which served disadvantaged and homeless individuals.

Rebekah is a member of the BAC (British Acupuncture Council) and AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association) which are the regulatory bodies in the UK and Australia. This ensures the highest standard of professional care and also means that she is consistently up to date with regular training through seminars and conferences.

Rebekah has seen first hand how effective acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can be as she had debilitating asthma as a child and found significant relief for her own symptoms. She has special interest in pain management, women’s health and fertility and pregnancy support.

In her spare time, she enjoys being in nature and outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling. She believes in the importance of surrounding yourself with good people and good food so constantly endeavours to make it a priority in her life.

Our Philosophy

Story behind Refine

Refine
To focus, to purify, to fine tune, to improve , to cultivate.

Human bodies are incredible, complex and powerful. With everything we put the body through, most times we don't give it enough credit. I'm always amazed at how resilient and capable my body is at healing itself. However I believe we often don't listen to our bodies when we push it too far.

Health and wellbeing is about listening to our bodies and knowing what it's telling us. To refine our health and wellbeing is to focus on our body and mind, to purify ourselves from any toxicities in our lives, to fine tune any imbalances, to improve function, and to cultivate better habits and lifestyle.

The leaves in my logo are a constant reminder that healing is always a process. That everyday we are turning over a new leaf from bad habits, toxic thoughts, unhealthy choices to better habits, loving thoughts and healthier choices.
